Collaborate in the planning, organization, and implementation of preventive, occupational, and leisure activities. Maintain personal hygiene of service users. Provide and administer food to residents, facilitating intake in cases where this is required. Handle reception, distribution, and collection of meals in the user’s room. Perform postural changes and other auxiliary services assigned according to technical training. Collaborate with the nursing service in performing postural changes for bedridden individuals and in actions facilitating their examination and observation. Assist residents in preparing for transfers, carrying out accompanying, monitoring, and support actions. Collaborate with healthcare staff in medication administration. In the nurse’s absence, perform glucose testing and use the subcutaneous route to administer insulin and heparin to users, provided dosage and treatment follow-up are carried out by medical or nursing staff. Assist users in carrying out maintenance activities and exercises, following guidance from competent professionals. Without ever replacing staff specifically hired for routine cleaning, carry out cleaning and hygiene of utensils, clothing, and facilities when circumstances within the service require it. Support and stimulate communication among service users, promoting their daily functioning and social interaction. Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding users’ pathologies, individualized care plans, and any matters concerning their privacy, always acting in coordination with and under the responsibility of the professionals they directly report to. Perform cleaning and maintenance of users’ belongings, collaborate in keeping rooms orderly, collect clothing, take it to the laundry, manage users’ personal clothing, and make beds according to each user’s needs, following established quality criteria—using clean linens, free of wrinkles and moisture, properly positioned, with special attention to body folds and other high-risk areas, respecting user privacy.
