




Job Summary: We are seeking a professional to manage timber procurement, ensuring supply, quality, and safety while minimizing environmental risks. Key Responsibilities: 1. We are looking for a professional to manage timber procurement in Villasbuenas de Gata (Cáceres). The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring continuous timber supply, guaranteeing the required quantity and quality for the plant. Additionally, they must supervise and coordinate safety regulations applicable to timber handling operations and actively work to minimize environmental risks. Proven experience in forest harvesting, knowledge of timber grades, and sector-specific logistics are required. Proficiency in computer tools such as Excel and ERP systems for cost control, volume tracking, and supplier management is essential. Knowledge of forest certifications such as PEFC and FSC is considered an advantage. The ideal academic background is a degree in Forestry Engineering or Forestry Sciences, or an equivalent technical qualification. Other engineering degrees or higher vocational training cycles will also be considered if accompanied by solid experience in forest or timber procurement. Advanced English and Portuguese language skills are mandatory, as is a valid EU driving license (Category B). A minimum of five years’ experience in timber procurement, forest services, or purchasing within the forestry, timber, or biomass sectors is preferred, along with familiarity with the Sierra de Gata and Las Hurdes regions and local forestry agents. A permanent full-time contract is offered, with salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
