At DXC Spain, we are seeking a Postgre, MySQL, Redis Database Administrator to join our team. **Minimum Requirements:** * More than 5 years of experience administering Postgre, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, and DragonFly databases, with practical experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing relational databases. * Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL. * Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting. * Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques. * Experience with backup and recovery processes. * Ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues. * Strong analytical skills to understand and resolve performance and configuration problems. * Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute database projects such as migrations, upgrades, and patching. * Knowledge of OCI. **Desirable Requirements:** * Experience in database migrations. * Knowledge of other database engines. * Monitoring tools experience. * Ability to create operational technical instructions. * Oracle Database certifications. * Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification. **Responsibilities:** * Install and configure the specified databases. * Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries and database parameters. * Develop and implement backup strategies for the specified engines; perform data recovery. * Implement and manage database security measures; conduct security audits. * Plan and execute database updates and patches with minimal downtime. * Monitor resource usage and forecast future requirements. * Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and manage job scheduling. * Diagnose and quickly resolve database issues. * Collaborate with development teams on database design and optimization; support junior DBAs. * Maintain comprehensive documentation and generate performance and usage reports. * Stay updated on Oracle technologies, evaluate new tools, and improve database management practices. **What will you find at DXC?** * Professional development. * Leading projects with key market clients. * Excellent working environment. * Flexibility and work-life balance. * Opportunity to work with cutting-edge IT technologies. * Access to DXC Learning and official certifications. * Social and responsible commitment. * Stable employment. * Social benefits.
