Job Summary: We are seeking a Printing Machine Operator for an expanding Asturian company, responsible for preparing, operating, and quality-controlling printing machinery, as well as performing basic maintenance. Responsibilities **Machine Preparation:** * Mount printing plates (clichés) onto cylinders. * Install and adjust anilox and doctor blades. * Load inks, substrates, and other required consumables. * Perform adjustments according to job specifications. * Start up and shut down the printing machine. * Monitor the printing process to ensure quality. * Make real-time adjustments (registration, pressure, speed). * **Quality Control:** * Inspect products during and after printing. * Verify color, registration, and print sharpness. * Ensure compliance with customer specifications. * **Basic Maintenance:** * Clean machine components (rollers, ink pans, anilox rolls). * Periodically check ink and lubricant levels. * Report mechanical or electrical failures to the maintenance department. * **Compliance with Standards:** * Follow established quality and production procedures. * Record production data, times, materials used, waste, etc. **Required Knowledge:** * Ink types (water-based, solvent-based, UV-curable). * Substrate types (plastic films, paper, cardboard, labels). * Ability to read technical drawings and specifications. * Basic understanding of colorimetry. * Use of measuring tools (micrometer, densitometer, etc.).
