Occupational Therapist for Home Care Services (SAD)

Job Summary: We are seeking an occupational therapist to help individuals gain autonomy and improve their quality of life through occupation as a rehabilitation tool. Key Responsibilities: 1. Help users gain autonomy and improve their quality of life. 2. Conduct personalized assessments and treatment plans. 3. Collaborate as part of a team with social integrators and management. We are looking for an occupational therapist to work in Zone 2 of Barcelona, specifically in the districts of Gràcia and Eixample. The primary objective is to help individuals gain autonomy and improve their quality of life through occupation as a rehabilitation tool. To achieve this, an initial assessment will be conducted and a personalized treatment plan will be implemented. Daily responsibilities include home visits to supervise users, maintaining communication with users, service staff, and the coordination team. Technical aids required in homes—such as hoists or adapted chairs—are also assessed, and their proper functioning is monitored. Additionally, contact is maintained with centers and suppliers; case reports are prepared; collaboration takes place with social integrators; and participation occurs in meetings with management. A temporary contract of 6 months is offered, with a weekly working schedule of 37 hours from Monday to Friday, morning shifts plus one afternoon until 18:00\. Immediate start is required. Candidates must demonstrate active listening skills, empathy, strong stress management, and the ability to resolve conflicts and foster supportive relationships. * Degree or Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy. * Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred, gained in Home Care Services (SAD), residential facilities, day centers, or through professional internships. * Completion of training courses related to promoting equality, as well as courses related to elderly care, patient care, patient handling, etc., will be viewed favorably. * Desired competencies: integrity and honesty, user orientation, planning and organization, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
