Description

#### **About Stark** Stark manufactures the world's most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-homologated VARG EX and SM models, our motorcycles have won world championships and are engineered to outperform any internal combustion engine vehicle. Our headquarters are located in Sant Boi, Barcelona; we are growing rapidly (77% year-on-year) and building a team that will take us even further. If you want to work on a product that people are truly passionate about, this is the place for you. Stark will become the global leader in premium motorcycles. Manufacturing premium motorcycles demands innovation—and we need your help to succeed. Our mission is to lead the way toward a sustainable motorcycle industry by reducing plastic and CO₂ pollution. We will achieve this by developing sustainable products that surpass traditional technology in performance, emotion, and design. #### **The Role** We are seeking a Control Technician to provide first-line automation support on our battery and vehicle production lines. Working in shifts, you will diagnose and debug PLC-controlled stations, vision systems, MES connectivity, and production software incidents—keeping lines running and escalating structural problems with clear findings. You will work closely with our Automation Engineers, acting as their eyes and hands on the shop floor during your shift. #### **Your Responsibilities** * Perform **first-level diagnosis and debugging** of **PLC-controlled stations** during your shift: analyze program status, I/O signals, alarms, and interlocks to identify root causes. * Resolve **vision system incidents**: camera triggering, lighting, focus, communication with the PLC, and deviations in inspection results. * Diagnose and restore MES connectivity incidents: station\-MES communication, traceability data flow, part status errors, and interface failures. * Support general production software incidents: HMI failures, station PC/IPC issues, network connectivity problems, and software restarts following defined procedures. * Perform controlled interventions on automation systems: signal forcing/monitoring for diagnostics, parameter adjustments within defined limits, and program downloads/uploads under change control. * Manage **equipment backups** during interventions: verify and restore PLC programs, HMI projects, and vision configurations from the backup repository. * Escalate complex incidents to Automation Engineers with structured, documented findings (symptoms, checks performed, suspected cause). * Support Automation Engineers during commissioning, modifications, and line improvement projects. * Document all interventions in shift reports and handover logs; ensure clean communication between shifts. * Contribute to continuous improvement: report recurring alarms, propose solutions for repetitive failures, and help maintain diagnostic guidelines. #### **What You’ll Bring to Stark** * Technical vocational training (CFGM/CFGS or equivalent) in electronics, electricity, automation, mechatronics, or a related field. * 2–5 years of **experience in a manufacturing environment**, in a technical support/automation role. * PLC diagnosis and debugging (mandatory): online connection to a running PLC, real-time monitoring of program status, use of watch tables and cross-references to trace signals, reading of diagnostic/fault buffers, safe I/O forcing and monitoring for troubleshooting, identification of blocked step sequences and unmet interlock conditions, and program uploads/backups. * **Vision system incident resolution**: verification of trigger, exposure, and focus; checking PLC-camera communication (digital I/O or Ethernet); interpretation of inspection results and tool failures; distinguishing between genuine product defects and misaligned inspection setups (lighting, positioning, dirty lens); validation using golden samples after intervention. * **MES connectivity diagnosis**: verification of station\-MES communication status, interpretation of interface logs and error messages, verification of part status and traceability records, retransmission or recovery of failed transactions per procedure, and basic network checks (ping, IP configuration, cable/switch verification). * Experience resolving issues with automated production equipment: sensors, actuators, variable frequency drives, safety circuits, and industrial networks. * Ability to read electrical schematics and work safely in control panels. * Proficiency with PCs: fluency in Windows environments, industrial software tools, and structured documentation. Willingness to work rotating shifts. * Spanish: mandatory (daily communication with operators and plant teams). ##### **Preferred Qualifications** * **Experience with Beckhoff systems (TwinCAT, EtherCAT).** * English language knowledge or willingness to learn it (for documentation and internal communication). * Experience with Siemens PLCs (S7 / TIA Portal). * Specific experience with Keyence or Cognex vision platforms. * Experience in automotive, electronics, or battery/electric vehicle manufacturing. * Familiarity with 5S, structured problem-solving, and disciplined shift handover. #### **Why Join Us?** * The opportunity to work on a product that people are genuinely passionate about. * A company experiencing rapid growth with real momentum. * A creative, international team headquartered in Barcelona. * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Direct access to test riders, racing teams, and the product itself—this is not a remote role detached from the product. * Subsidized meals at our on-site restaurant. * Free access to our on-site gym (including weekends!). * 30 days of paid vacation. #### **Commitment to Diversity** At Stark, we don’t just accept differences—we celebrate them, support them, and enrich ourselves through them for the benefit of our people, our products, and our community. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone—regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, age, neurodiversity, or disability—feels they truly belong. We believe diverse teams make better decisions and that a culture of equity is essential for innovation. **Accessibility**: If you require any reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process (e.g., assistive technology, additional time, or a specific format), please contact HR@starkfuture.com. We’re here to help. We encourage individuals from underrepresented groups to apply—and we look forward to discovering how your unique perspective can help us grow.
