Grupo Ership, a company in the maritime transport and port operations sector, is seeking to strengthen its team of mechanical equipment operators in Gijón. MISSION Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery, contributing to productive operations and compliance with safety and maintenance standards. FUNCTIONS \- Safe and efficient machinery operation: Handling loaders and other equipment, ensuring proper functioning of controls and systems. \- Material management: Loading, unloading, and receiving materials according to established procedures. \- Operational documentation: Preparing work reports and recording performed activities. \- Basic preventive maintenance: Daily inspection of machinery, checking oil levels, detecting leaks, and verifying overall equipment condition. \- Compliance with safety regulations: Strict application of protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. \- Teamwork: Coordination with other operators and staff to optimize processes and achieve common objectives. \- Operational support: Collaboration on additional tasks as required by departmental needs. \- Cleaning and order: Maintaining the cab and accessible areas of machinery in optimal cleanliness conditions. PROFILE \- Experience operating loaders or similar machinery in environments such as construction sites, quarries, or aggregate plants (e.g., truck loading, hopper feeding, etc.). \- Completion of compulsory secondary education (ESO) (mandatory). \- Valid Spanish driving license Class B (mandatory); Class C license is a plus. \- Certifications: Forklift operator and loader operator licenses. Mobile crane operator certification is highly desirable. \- Availability to work split shifts, with some flexibility depending on operational requirements.
