**Positions Available** ---------------------- 1 **Company** ----------- Tragsatec **Project / Reason for Hiring** --------------------------------- Tecnologías y Servicios Agrarios, S.A., S.M.E., M.P., a subsidiary of the TRAGSA GROUP, specialized in engineering, consulting, and technical assistance activities in agriculture, livestock, forestry, and environmental matters, is seeking to hire 1 Boat Captain - Fishery Inspection Andalusia (Huelva) in Huelva **Work Location** -------------------- * Huelva **Functions and Responsibilities** ---------------------- * The main function will consist of the technical handling and command of assigned vessels to carry out surveillance, control, and fishery inspection tasks on maritime modalities and maritime waters under the Agency's jurisdiction, according to established schedules. * Sea trips for surveillance, control, and inspection tasks will preferably be conducted with a Fishery Inspector on board, who will be responsible for directing the service to achieve the intended objectives. * Responsible for organizing and coordinating the crew on board. * Responsible for carrying out all administrative and technical procedures required for the vessel to remain fully operational at all times. * Responsible for maintenance and preservation of the vessel; therefore, in charge of organizing, directing, supervising, and reporting the effective execution of these tasks. * Periodic monitoring of expiration dates for safety equipment and certificates required for navigation (Navigability Certificate, National Safety Certificate for vessels under 16 m, Radioelectric Safety Certificate, etc.). * As established by applicable regulations, including but not limited to, maintaining the Navigation Logbook and the Crew Document (ROL). * Responsible for reporting to the project manager any incidents detected on the vessel (breakdowns, supply needs, spare parts, upcoming certificate expirations, etc.) requiring resolution to maintain the vessel in perfect operating condition. * Preparation of periodic reports as requested (fuel consumption, miles traveled, maintenance tasks, etc.). * As service needs arise, performing support tasks for fishery inspections on land (fish markets, warehouses, markets, fish shops, restaurants, coastlines, ports, transportation, etc.). * As service needs arise, performing support tasks for fishery inspections in other provinces. **General Requirements** ------------------------ * Hold a Merchant Marine Professional Card as Coastal Captain / Offshore Captain, formerly known as Coastal Navigation Captain / Major Coastal Navigation Captain, according to current regulations governing professional qualifications in Merchant Marine. Must possess the specialized certificates in basic safety training, restricted operator of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System, and initial specific medical training certificate. Based on the qualification held, perform specific functions authorized by such qualification.
