We’re looking for **Freelance Event Managers** to support our retreats in **Spain, Germany, and Italy,** ideally based **near major cities**, where many of our partner locations and transport hubs are concentrated. That said, we **encourage experienced professionals based in other European countries to apply as well**. Our retreats are constantly evolving, and having a strong network of trusted collaborators across Europe allows us to activate new locations quickly when events arise. What We’re Looking For * You are **highly autonomous** and comfortable taking full ownership of an event once it’s assigned to you. * You naturally **anticipate what’s needed**—logistics, people flow, timing, contingencies—without waiting to be told. * You are **structured, reliable, and proactive**, and you enjoy bringing clarity to complex, fast\-moving environments. * You communicate clearly and confidently with diverse teams, suppliers, and location staff. * You make sound decisions independently and know when to escalate vs. when to act. * You stay calm under pressure and enjoy **solving problems in real time**. * You have experience in **event management, hospitality, tourism, retreats, or operations**, and you’re comfortable being the main point of contact on site. * You are fluent in **English and ideally in the local language** of the country you’re based in (Spanish, German, or Italian). What You’ll Do * **Own the local planning and execution** of retreats in your region. * Act as the **on\-site lead**, ensuring everything runs smoothly from arrival to wrap\-up. * Coordinate independently with venues, facilitators, suppliers, and external partners. * Anticipate needs, identify risks early, and resolve issues proactively. * Represent **The Campfire Company** on site, hosting or supporting retreats as needed. * Stay aligned with the central team while operating with a high degree of **trust and autonomy**.
