At AvaiBook, we are looking for a PHP Symfony Developer with initiative and problem-solving ability to help us improve our customers' experience on our SaaS platform. We are part of the idealista.com ecosystem and specialize in developing and marketing a SaaS solution for vacation rental and flexliving management. Since 2010, we have helped property owners and tourism managers automate their daily operations and optimize business performance. We are official partners and fully integrated with Booking.com, Airbnb, VRBO, and Google, operating in Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Our team comprises over 70 professionals distributed across six departments, with a fully cross-functional product and business vision. We seek dynamic, curious individuals with sound judgment who enjoy solving real-world problems. If you recognize yourself in the following questions, you may be the person we’re looking for: * Are you comfortable working with Symfony (or similar frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter) and do you have several years of PHP development experience? * Do you care about clean code, automated testing, and software quality? * Do you go beyond simply coding what’s requested, contributing business insight to improve decisions and outcomes? * Are you experienced working with Scrum and in remote teams, collaborating fluidly and responsibly? * Can you integrate or leverage AI tools to enhance your design process, validate ideas, or improve user experience? If your answer is yes, we’d love to meet you. **Responsibilities** ---------- We would especially welcome someone with e-commerce experience: programming purchase flows, integrating payment gateways or solutions such as Paycomet or Stripe, generating financial breakdowns, or handling processes related to standard 34 files — along with a business-oriented mindset to constructively contribute to decision-making and a strong desire to learn about the nuanced vacation rental market. **Requirements** -------------- **Technically, we require:** * A proactive individual passionate about high-quality projects. * Ability to meet defined requirements and optimize platform performance. * Experience working with Scrum. * Minimum 3 years’ experience with Symfony (or other frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or similar). * 3–5 years’ experience with the following technologies: * PHP * Web service development (SOAP, REST…) * Relational databases (MySQL) * jQuery, Ajax… * Advanced English proficiency required to understand documentation and communicate effectively with vendors. * Experience in automation of deployment processes. * Development practices such as clean code and automated testing. * Ability to collaborate effectively in remote and distributed teams. **Nice-to-have qualifications:** * Prior experience with SaaS or booking platforms. * Advanced knowledge of Italian or Portuguese. * Education or expertise in AI. **Benefits** -------------- **We offer:** * 23 paid vacation days per year. * Remote-friendly work environment. * Competitive salary commensurate with experience. * Permanent employment contract. * In-person training sessions and access to online courses. * Company-provided computer equipment. * Reduced working hours in August. * Opportunities for personal and professional growth. * Team-building events and summer/Christmas parties. **And a bit more about us…** ------------------------------ Since launching this journey in 2010, AvaiBook has been much more than just a company.
