Main Responsibilities of the Position
Review technical specifications and documentation for equipment and systems, as well as communication interfaces.
Develop and/or review Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Harbor Acceptance Test (HAT), and Sea Acceptance Test (SAT) procedures for each control and alarm system, as well as provide support during factory testing of equipment and systems.
Coordinate and lead the assigned test team to execute commissioning and conduct both specific and official tests, both in port and at sea.
Monitor and control progress of tests to ensure compliance with the assigned test schedule, and track and manage closure of observations raised during commissioning and testing.
Maintain relations with the Client, Classification Society, and/or Flag State Authority.
Perform manual operation of each ship platform system, both directly and via HMI (Human-Machine Interface).
Program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) on Schneider, Vijeo, Siemens, Wago, Omron, Weidmuller, and Twido platforms.
Program Magelis Schneider HMIs and Schneider M580 PLCs using Unity Pro.
Verify communication interfaces using Profibus, RS\-232, RS\-422, RS\-485, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, and Ethernet protocols.
Support crew training activities, as well as vessel warranty and lifecycle support tasks, as required.
Manage and maintain the Quality Management, Industrial Safety, and Environmental Management System within the department, keeping records under one's responsibility.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any specialization).
Training courses to be considered during Phase 1 (Merit Evaluation) related to the position to be filled:
Programmable Controllers (Schneider, Vijeo, Siemens, Wago, Omron, Weidmuller, Twido).
Communication Networks.
Occupational Risk Prevention.
WORKING CONDITIONS
**Entry Level:** Minimum D2
**Contract Type:** Permanent
The selected candidate shall perform duties under the working hours regime applicable to the assigned position, which may include standard working hours, shift work, or any other special working hour arrangements stipulated in the current Collective Agreement.
