The Service for Support of Autonomy at Home (SAPLL), included in the Social Services Portfolio, provides support to people with intellectual disabilities or social issues arising from mental illness who live alone. This service aims to help users acquire autonomy by providing them with tools and resources in those tasks or activities where they have greater needs or difficulties, with the objective of improving their personal lives as well as their social network. Personal and social adjustment is also addressed, reinforcing self-concept and offering personalized support tailored to each individual's needs. Objectives of the service The main objective of the home support service is to achieve the highest possible degree of a person's autonomy, which implies being autonomous in various areas of their life. Therefore, the following are established as general objectives: ▶ Promote personal and social autonomy of service users. ▶ Enhance their personal, social, and communication skills. To achieve these general objectives, a series of specific objectives within each area are established, through which the lines of work with each user are defined. It should be emphasized that the work plan with each person is developed consensually based on their expressed needs and is reviewed periodically every six months, adjusting it to their current personal situation. Social educator: This is the person responsible for most of the direct support with users: ▶ Planning and monitoring each user's PIAI, focusing on social factors. ▶ Carrying out activities agreed upon by the team for the development of the PIAI, and recording them accordingly. ▶ Understanding each user's family situation and social environment. ▶ Ensuring the promotion of the user's personal development, sociocultural resources, training opportunities, etc. ▶ Identifying leisure resources suitable to each individual's needs. ▶ Coordinating with reference professionals and services. ▶ Seeking user satisfaction in different areas of their daily life. ▶ Keeping the records of individuals served by the service up to date. ▶ Coordinating with the Service for Person Support regarding SAPLL-related matters. ▶ Knowing the social services and resources available in the area. ▶ Providing families with resources and benefits suitable for each individual case. ▶ Being aware of leisure resources fitting each user's needs. * Experience: 1 year.
