At BEUMER Group Technology Iberia, you can take your career to new heights within a challenging and exciting global environment. **Job Description** **Specific Responsibilities** As a Control Engineer, your primary duties/responsibilities will include: * Developing low-level control engineering for baggage handling conveyor systems or parcel sorting systems, using TIA Portal and/or STEP7\. * Coordinating the scope of controls in assigned projects. * Leading the design of control aspects for assigned projects. * Specifying, developing, and configuring control integration. * Programming and commissioning PLC-based installations. * Preparing and reviewing project-related documentation. * Validating designs, identifying issues (testing), and resolving incidents and open items affecting system programming and commissioning. * Assisting in setting up and maintaining development, testing, and production environments. * Collaborating on projects and with teams from other BEUMER Group locations. **Site Support** * Managing site incident reports, open items, etc. * Creating specifications for additional materials when required. * Supporting the installation team and plant commissioning teams as needed. * Processing "as\-built" documentation from the site. **Continuous Improvement** * Transferring knowledge to other engineers. * Initiating improvements in content, processes, and tools. * Incorporating project lessons learned into the company's products, processes, and tools. * Supporting the Engineering Department Head. * Advising new engineers. **Qualifications** **Desired Skills and Knowledge** As a Control Engineer at BEUMER Group, we seek a candidate with the following qualifications: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Control Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or a related field. * More than 3 years of experience in a similar role. * Ideally, experience with integrated automation systems in manufacturing or distribution industries. * Preferably, experience in logistics systems or airport baggage handling environments. * Experience in designing PLC-based control systems. * Solid knowledge of Siemens PLC programming using STEP 7 and TIA Portal. * Experience in HMI programming (WinCC or TIA Portal). * Knowledge of simulation/emulation software such as Experior and/or Demo3D is desirable. * Familiarity with Siemens automation products and communication protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, AS\-i, TCP/IP, ISO, etc. * Experience interfacing with other components (SCADA, HOST, cameras, volumetric devices, etc.). * Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics (EPLAN). * Ability to read/interpret AutoCAD drawings. * Advanced level of English and native/bilingual level of Spanish.
