Description

The Sanding Operator role focuses on surface preparation and finishing — an essential function in industrial manufacturing and finishing processes. This professional is responsible for polishing, smoothing, and conditioning surfaces of various materials, including wood, metal, and composite materials, using a range of specialized manual and electric tools. The work involves following precise technical specifications to achieve a uniform, high-quality finish, eliminating any imperfections, burrs, or surface irregularities. A core part of daily duties includes basic maintenance of sanding tools and equipment, ensuring their proper operation and safety. The operator must work meticulously to meet the company’s established quality standards and sector regulations, continuously inspecting their own work. The work environment is typically a workshop or industrial plant where attention to detail and manual precision are critical. The position requires practical understanding of different sanding techniques and appropriate abrasive materials for each surface type. Adaptability to work on diverse projects and with various equipment is valued in daily performance. The operator’s contribution is direct within the production chain, influencing final product quality before it proceeds to subsequent manufacturing or assembly stages. This position is offered under a temporary contract, with the possibility of future permanent incorporation into the user company based on performance and business needs. Salary is set in accordance with the applicable industrial collective bargaining agreement, including corresponding social security contributions. Working hours will follow the company’s established schedule, conforming to full-time employment. The company will provide all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safe task execution. A minimum of six months’ experience in sanding or surface finishing tasks within an industrial setting is required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and to follow technical instructions accurately is essential. Relevant vocational training — such as medium-level vocational education cycles or participation in workshop schools — as well as possession of the Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) diploma will be considered advantageous. The ideal candidate must demonstrate full availability regarding working hours and commitment to workshop safety regulations.
