The forklift operator position involves a series of essential activities to ensure the proper functioning of logistics and waste management operations. Daily responsibilities include sorting and segregating different types of waste, ensuring materials are correctly separated according to established protocols. The use of forklifts or electric pallet jacks is fundamental for transporting and organizing materials and containers within the facility. Load management and dispatch require attention to detail to ensure shipments are prepared and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Cleaning tasks and basic maintenance of the work area and equipment are necessary to maintain a safe and operational environment. Additionally, the position entails computerized monitoring and record-keeping tasks, where material receipts, dispatches, and movements must be documented using the provided software systems. This role is vital within the supply chain and requires a methodical approach and a proactive attitude toward safety and organization. Work takes place in a dynamic industrial environment, where collaboration with other departments is frequent to meet production and waste management objectives. Precision in equipment handling and compliance with safety regulations are top priorities in all tasks performed. Working hours are full-time, Monday through Friday, within the company’s established schedule. The position involves performing duties in an industrial environment, implying work with machinery and under varying conditions. Employment terms comply with the applicable collective bargaining agreement for the sector, including salary provisions and rest periods. The workplace is fixed at the designated facilities, with no remote work included. A minimum of one year of prior experience in a similar role is required, along with a valid forklift operator license. It is mandatory to have personal transportation for work-related travel and immediate availability to start. The minimum educational requirement is a Higher Vocational Training qualification in a field related to logistics, industry, or waste management.
