Description
Join **Amaris Consulting** and work on the **design of electronic hardware and PCBs for avionics and industrial systems**, serving thousands of users worldwide. Be part of an international team, grow within an agile environment, and advance your career in a global group with over 1,000 clients and €800M in annual revenue — a company that values innovation, collaboration, and talent.
**Your mission & your impact**
As a **Hardware / PCB Design Engineer (Avionics & Industrial Systems)**, you will play a key role in the **design, verification, and documentation of electronic boards and test benches**. You will be a vital member of multidisciplinary teams, participating across the full hardware development lifecycle: from schematic capture and layout support to system integration, industrialization, and qualification campaigns — ensuring compliance with safety requirements and applicable regulations.
✅ **What we’re looking for**
* **+3 years of experience** in **electronic hardware / PCB design** within industrial, aerospace, or defense environments.
* Experience in **schematic capture** using tools such as **Cadence Allegro, Mentor PADS**, or equivalent.
* Experience in **PCB layout** (mixed digital and analog), either working alongside layout engineers or providing direct support.
* Experience in **board-level debug and bring-up** (board power-up, fault diagnosis, measurements).
* Basic knowledge of **signal integrity** (terminations, high-speed traces, differential routing, etc.).
* Ability to generate and maintain **technical documentation**: specifications, test procedures, design reports.
* Experience in **design, V&V, and documentation of boards and test benches**.
* Professional-level **English**, sufficient to read technical documentation and collaborate with international teams.
**What you’ll do**
* Design, verify, and document **boards and test benches** for avionics and industrial systems.
* Perform **schematic capture** and provide support for **PCB layout** (digital, analog, and mixed-signal), ensuring adherence to design rules and signal integrity requirements.
* Participate in **design reviews** and **document reviews**, contributing quality, reliability, and maintainability criteria.
* Execute and document **board-level debug and bring-up** activities, identifying and resolving hardware issues.
* Support **system integration** and **industrialization**, collaborating with production and test teams.
* Collaborate on **regulatory and safety certification** activities, ensuring hardware complies with applicable standards.
* Participate in **qualification campaigns** (environmental, EMC/EMI, functional), supporting test bench and procedure definition.
* Develop and maintain **comprehensive technical documentation**: specifications, test procedures, results reports, and requirement traceability.
* Work closely with **software, systems, and certification** teams to ensure alignment between hardware, software, and safety requirements.
**Your mindset & soft skills**
* Strong **problem-solving skills** and **analytical thinking**, applied to hardware design and debug.
* Rigor and **attention to detail**, especially in **safety-critical** and regulated environments.
* Excellent **communication skills** and ability to work in **multidisciplinary teams** (hardware, software, systems, production).
* **Proactive attitude**, strong sense of **ownership** over design, and orientation toward **continuous improvement**.
* Comfort working in **structured environments** (V-model, certification processes) and/or agile settings, actively participating in technical reviews and team ceremonies.
* Interest in staying current with **PCB design regulations, IPC standards, DO-254, and EMC/EMI techniques**.
**Why join us?**
* **Professional growth:** 70% of our senior leaders started in junior roles; you’ll have a clear career path in **electronic hardware for aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors**.
