Sector Manager (SM)
**Position Summary and Purpose:**
Manage human and technical resources within the production sector. Ensure equipment maintenance and compliance with established regulations and procedures.
Monitor implementation of required preventive activities as the company-assigned Preventive Resource. You will report to the Head of Fragrance Ingredients Production in Sant Celoni.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Organize personnel allocation across teams
* Ensure adherence to and control of the manufacturing schedule
* Ensure proper material management. Supervise product withdrawal from and receipt into the warehouse
* Communication with OpC, OpE, and OpM shall be conducted via DEC
* Keep your direct supervisor informed of sector progress
* Inform functional and hierarchical managers of all relevant incidents (personnel-related, financial, material- or equipment-related), whether already occurred or foreseeable
* Report in writing—within the same shift—to EHS and your hierarchical manager regarding any accident/incident occurring in your sector that poses a risk to the environment or the safety of personnel under your responsibility
* Manage and resolve incidents and anomalies arising in your sector, anticipating them to minimize impact
* Understand and authorize minor deviations from operating procedures, applying chemical judgment to avoid performing or authorizing significant deviations. Report such minor deviations to the product-responsible chemists and/or the On-Call Chemist
* Supervise activities and operations required in production processes, utilities, wastewater treatment, and maintenance (the latter three, in the absence of respective supervisors or responsible personnel)
* Supervise personnel under your responsibility (APRs, OpPreCom, OpC, OpN, OpS, OpE, and OpM). The latter two, in the absence of their respective supervisors or hierarchical managers
* Respect, monitor, and ensure compliance with Prevention and Safety instructions; you may halt work activities within your area of responsibility in case of non-compliance
* Respect, monitor, and ensure compliance with procedures, operating methods, regulations, instructions, and work directives
* Distribute workload and set priorities during your shift
* Supervise data entry, control, and archiving of documentation related to production processes
* Ensure continuity of processes for tasks related to your position between outgoing and incoming shifts through written shift handover
* Propose and lead improvement initiatives, and ensure—through VPM shift meetings—the plant-wide dissemination of the Continuous Improvement philosophy
* Contribute to and support team members’ training and development
* Ensure proper maintenance of facilities
* Report and prevent financial deviations and incidents
**Requirements:**
* 5 years’ experience as Production Operator and/or Control Operator, or Supervisor in other departments
* FPII Chemistry qualification or equivalent. Additional courses in chemistry or Chemical Engineering Technology, personnel management, and continuous improvement are desirable
* 50-hour Occupational Risk Prevention course (Basic Level)
* Languages: Spanish, Catalan, and English (desirable)
* Basic computer literacy
