OFFICIAL REGISTRATION https://www.eventbrite.es/e/conference-producing-in-common-ensemble-network-tickets-1652455040509 Launch Event of the Network of Productive and Collaborative Spaces ENSEMBLE The **Network of Productive and Collaborative Spaces ENSEMBLE** celebrates its official launch in Barcelona on **October 16 and 17, 2025**, with the **Conference and Exhibition Producing (in) Common**, coinciding with **Barcelona Design Week.** Over two days open to citizens, professionals, institutions, and communities, the event will combine presentations, panel discussions, and a collective exhibition featuring selected projects at Fab Lab Barcelona of IAAC – the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, in Poblenou. The network brings together more than 25 spaces from the Barcelona metropolitan area: Fab Labs, Fabrication Ateliers, makerspaces, industrial coworkings, craft centers, and other spaces rethinking what it means to produce in the city today. ENSEMBLE pools infrastructures, knowledge, and communities. By placing them at the heart of urban debate, these spaces function as civic platforms where industrial heritage intersects with new forms of local production – ranging from community-based to professional, between *low tech* and *high tech* – promoting cooperative, public-private, or community management models. At the same time, they enable testing key practices for the contemporary city: the right to repair, circular economy at metropolitan scale, digital literacy as a civic right, gender equity in production, and ethical data governance. By positioning collaboration as a driver for change to experiment and prototype urban futures, the initiative articulates the concept of "commons" across two complementary scales: local and international. This collaboration will open the conversation toward a commons practice where knowledge, methodologies, and communities converge around crafts, materials, and new forms of production. Additionally, the collective milestone *Driving Design Trilogy* will be presented, celebrating the complete publication of this research and practice series.
