We are seeking a Leaching/Reagents Operator for our Salares Norte operation. Purpose To ensure efficient operation of leaching and reagents equipment at the mine site. Contributes to effective gold and silver extraction by following defined procedures, ensuring compliance with internal regulations, and maximizing operational continuity through control of critical variables and coordination of maintenance activities. Must maintain operational continuity under high-altitude working conditions, managing both routine operations and scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns. Must balance precision in task execution with the need to promptly identify and report new risks, ensuring operations meet safety and productivity standards. **In this role, your key responsibilities will include:** Operating and monitoring agitation leaching and reagents equipment, controlling critical variables such as pulp density, pH, cyanide concentration, and thickener interface level measurement. Ensuring operational continuity of equipment by maintaining defined parameters and plant regulations. Conducting inspections and raising alerts for preventive and corrective equipment maintenance to ensure proper functioning. Submitting written operational reports to the direct supervisor, timely reporting on shift variables and events. Immediately identifying and reporting new field risks and hazards to the direct supervisor. Performing cleaning and housekeeping tasks at facilities to prevent incidents. Coordinating with contractor companies for cleaning and/or maintenance activities. Keeping required HSE accreditations and certifications up to date for operating equipment. Supporting SIG compliance by applying guidelines during task execution. Who Are We Looking For? **Education:** Graduate of a Higher Technical Program in Mineral Processing Plant Operations, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or related field. Additional certifications in hazardous substance handling or risk prevention are desirable. **Experience:** Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar roles within the mining and extraction sector, preferably in plant operations at high-altitude sites involving leaching processes. **Knowledge:** Operation of agitation leaching and thickening equipment; control of critical variables such as pH and cyanide concentration; preventive maintenance of process equipment; application of HSE regulations in mining environments; coordination of equipment maintenance shutdowns. **Skills:** Experience in operating and monitoring leaching equipment; control of operational variables such as pulp density and reagent concentration; coordination of equipment maintenance; preparation of operational reports.
