Java/AWS Backend Technical Leader

We are seeking a **Java/AWS Backend Technical Leader** to join our hybrid team in Madrid. The selected candidate will be responsible for technically leading backend development initiatives, defining scalable architectures, and promoting engineering best practices in highly available cloud environments. They will collaborate cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams to ensure robust, secure, and resilient solutions. That’s why we promote an environment where every professional can develop, contribute new ideas, and participate in impactful regional and global projects. **Responsibilities** * Technically lead backend development teams and facilitate technical decision-making * Design and implement microservices-based and cloud-native service architectures * Define development, quality, security, and observability standards * Conduct code reviews and mentor the development team to drive technical excellence * Design and implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines * Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and business teams to deliver scalable and resilient solutions **Requirements** * Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience * At least 2 years of demonstrable technical leadership or technical coordination experience * Advanced knowledge of Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem * Solid experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices architectures * Strong knowledge of AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, and serverless architectures * Experience designing distributed and event-driven solutions * Practical experience with GitHub and repository management strategies * Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation * Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration * Familiarity with architectural patterns, SOLID principles, and development best practices * Functional knowledge of Angular for effective collaboration with frontend teams **Nice to have** * Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation * Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms * Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK * Valid AWS certifications * Experience in financial environments or mission-critical systems **We offer** * • Indefinite-term contract with competitive salary• Flexible work arrangements and remote work options• Personalized career path and continuous training• Participation in stable, highly technical projects• Flexible working hours and focus on work-life balance• Social benefits tailored to your needs
