Participate in strategic cybersecurity initiatives. **Senior IT Cybersecurity Consultant – AppSec Framework \& DevSecOps** Spain / Remote At Excelia, we are looking for a **Senior IT Cybersecurity Consultant specialized in Application Security (AppSec)** to lead tool integration, continuous improvement, and strengthening of the security framework in complex, international environments. This role will be pivotal in advancing the organization’s AppSec capabilities, collaborating with development, architecture, and security teams to ensure application protection across the entire lifecycle. Your Mission Manage, execute, and evolve cross-functional application security initiatives, ensuring proper implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of AppSec tools, frameworks, and processes—aligned with corporate standards and security best practices. Responsibilities * Lead initiatives for integration and enhancement of application security tools. * Implement, operate, and optimize AppSec solutions such as SAST, DAST, and SCA. * Collaborate on integrating security controls into DevSecOps pipelines. * Analyze security alerts, identify patterns, and reduce false positives. * Propose and implement improvements in security laboratories and corporate security frameworks. * Serve as the technical point of reference for AppSec, providing support to development teams. * Collaborate with architecture, development, and security teams to resolve complex cases. * Ensure compliance with standards, objectives, and timelines in security initiatives. Requirements * Over **3 years of experience in Application Security projects** within complex, multi-industry environments. * Practical experience in **DevSecOps** environments. * Hands-on experience with AppSec tools including: + SAST, DAST, SCA + DevSecOps pipelines + Security testing and analysis tools * Experience in automation and continuous improvement of security processes. * Ability to collaborate with multiple technical teams (development, architecture, security). * Advanced English proficiency (for international environments). * Technical education (Higher Degree, Engineering, or equivalent). Preferred Qualifications * Experience integrating security tools in enterprise environments. * Experience automating security controls. * Experience working in cloud environments or modern architectures. * Experience in security labs or testing environments. * Mindset oriented toward continuous improvement and process optimization.
