We have a career opportunity for the position of **Optical Application Engineer** (*Optical Application Engineer*). The candidate will be responsible for: * Promoting and supporting the adoption of Ansys simulation solutions in Iberia, with a special focus on optical simulation technologies. * Assisting the sales team in client interactions by providing technical support and actively participating in engineering discussions. * Collaborating closely with marketing and sales teams to develop effective product positioning and outreach strategies. * Monitoring software usage by clients, offering continuous support, and contributing to the growth of their technical competencies. The ideal candidate has the following qualifications: * Solid experience in optical and optoelectronic engineering. Familiarity with CAE tools (e.g., fluid dynamics, mechanical, or electronic simulation) is an advantage. * Strong customer orientation, good time management skills, and attention to technical detail. * Collaborative attitude and ability to work in a team, with a strong focus on sharing knowledge within the technical team. * Ability to independently manage own activities while meeting deadlines and delivery schedules. * Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a willingness to present technical content clearly and effectively. * Intellectual curiosity and a solution-oriented mindset, even in areas outside of primary expertise. * Availability to travel primarily within Italy for technical support activities or client meetings. * Excellent command of the English language. **The following skills will be considered as advantages:** * Knowledge of Italian and Portuguese languages.
