Description

The bicycle mechanic professional will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and repairing bicycles of various types, ensuring that each unit meets established quality and safety standards. These tasks require practical knowledge of mechanical components, braking systems, drivetrains, and frames, performing adjustments and part replacements as necessary. The work takes place in a workshop environment, where organization, proper tool care, and attention to detail are essential for the smooth operation of the service. In addition to technical tasks, the position involves conducting basic diagnostics to identify malfunctions, as well as preventive maintenance of equipment to extend its service life. Candidates are expected to work autonomously following established procedures, but also collaboratively within a team, contributing to an efficient workflow. Clear communication regarding repair status and spare parts inventory management are important complementary aspects of daily operations. This role is essential in supporting the operations of a specialized center, where customer satisfaction depends directly on the quality and timeliness of the technical service provided. A proactive attitude toward learning about new technologies in the bicycle industry—such as electric systems or composite materials—and applying continuous improvements to work processes will be highly valued. The position offers a full-time morning schedule, specifically from 06:00 to 14:15 hours. Remuneration will comply with the applicable collective bargaining agreement. The contract includes the possibility of permanent integration into the staff after a probationary period, and it is carried out in a workplace with a positive working atmosphere. At least one year of demonstrable experience in bicycle assembly and repair is required. A Medium or Higher Vocational Training qualification in fields such as automotive engineering, electromechanics, mechanical manufacturing, or vehicle maintenance is mandatory. Solid general mechanical knowledge—and specifically, in-depth knowledge of bicycle components and systems—is required.
