Symrise – always inspiring more… **Your Role** The Mechanical Project Engineer ensures proper planning, design, execution, and delivery of equipment within assigned projects, aligning technical solutions with project requirements, safety standards, and organizational objectives. This position will not initially have direct employees but will manage external personnel. The role is responsible for overseeing projects from the commercial, logistical, preparatory, and completion phases. **Main Tasks** * Manage external personnel on\-site, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures. * Supervise the acquisition of equipment and materials, validating technical specifications and purchase decisions. * Coordinate general mechanical installation activities with various plant departments. * Participate in the project portfolio, supporting the simultaneous execution of multiple initiatives and budget preparation. * Contribute to operational performance through actions that improve reliability, energy efficiency, and long\-term cost reduction. * Perform thermodynamic and mechanical calculations for production equipment. * Coordinate engineering and/or maintenance activities across different areas of the site. * Lead projects in various plant areas, including Fragrance and Aroma Molecule production and other site facilities. * Manage the installation of equipment and mechanical piping in production lines. * Collaborate cross\-functionally with project managers, civil/mechanical engineers, procurement, HSE, and operations to ensure successful execution. * Supervise and evaluate suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and technical standards. * Drive continuous improvement strategies to optimize processes and operational efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead projects across different plant areas, including Fragrance and Aroma Molecule production and other site facilities. * Manage the installation of equipment and mechanical piping in production lines. * Coordinate cross\-functional activities with project managers, civil/mechanical engineers, procurement, HSE, and operations to ensure proper project execution. * Supervise and evaluate suppliers and contractors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and technical requirements. * Promote continuous improvement strategies to optimize processes and operational efficiency. **About you** **Education:** * Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field. **Experience:** * Minimum of 3 years managing multidisciplinary projects. * Experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance. **Technical Knowledge:** * Proficiency in SAP (mandatory). * Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D and HAZOP systems. * Familiarity with production processes and handling of products intended for food use, including Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices. * Understanding of standards and characteristics of products for food and cosmetic applications. **Key Competencies:** * Project management. * Supplier selection in collaboration with Procurement. * Teamwork and innovation mindset. **Our Offer** At Symrise, you will have the opportunity to grow professionally and take part in inspiring projects that contribute to the well\-being of millions of people in more than 160 countries.
