




Description At L'arcada trattoria pizzeria restaurant, located in Playa de Palma, we are seeking a Second Kitchen Manager with a passion for gastronomy and experience in a trattoria pizzeria. You will be a key member of our team, supporting the Head Chef in planning, directing, and managing culinary activities, ensuring the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities * Leadership support: Assist the Head Chef in supervising and directing departmental activities. In the Head Chef’s absence, you will assume responsibility for the department, coordinating the team and ensuring flawless operations. * Operational management: Coordinate and motivate the team, guaranteeing quality in dish preparation and presentation. * Culinary creativity: Collaborate on menu, buffet, and specialty development, including innovative and decorative proposals. * Quality control: Oversee purchasing, inventory, and warehouse quality, managing dish control and HACCP. * Event management: Participate in planning and executing menus for banquets and special events. * Customer service: Interact with guests to ensure their satisfaction and collect feedback. * Process optimization: Prepare reports, inventories, and data related to departmental activity. Requirements Ideal Candidate Requirements **Academic Qualifications:** * Degree in Culinary Sciences and Gastronomy. * Additional training in Pastry and Bakery (desirable). **Experience:** * Minimum 2\-3 years in a similar position, preferably in 5\* hotels or high-end restaurants. **Technical Knowledge:** * Knowledge of national and international cuisines, contemporary dishes, and haute cuisine techniques. * Familiarity with HACCP and management tools. * Intermediate level of office software and internet use. **Languages:** * Intermediate level of English. **Key Competencies:** * Creativity and attention to detail. * Leadership ability and team motivation skills. * Flexibility and organizational skills. * Commitment to excellence and personal development.
