Job Summary: We are seeking a Technical Director with experience in the design and calculation of mechanical components to lead innovative Space and Defense projects within a pioneering company. At Sener, we aim to incorporate a Technical Director for Space and Defense Projects into our Las Arenas/Zamudio office. We are a pioneering engineering company specializing in the design of satellite technology and equipment for space exploration. In Defense, we address the design and production of equipment and systems, including unmanned systems. Our passion for precision has positioned us as trusted collaborators of leading space agencies, government bodies, and enterprises. The selected candidate will join projects related to Defense and Space Mechanisms to develop new products in the areas of pointing, positioning and stabilization mechanisms, and aerodynamic surface actuation and control systems. **Your Responsibilities:** * Collaborate with project management in client communication, ensuring appropriate technical justification of the product. * Design of Defense and Space mechanisms and structures. * Coordinate and supervise various development activities, participating directly in some of them: mechanism architecture definition, preliminary component sizing, 3D design, structural and thermal analysis, performance analysis, specification and selection of machine components (e.g., screws, bearings, motors, gearboxes, etc.). * Preparation of documentation: design descriptions, technical justifications, etc. * Coordination with other technical disciplines—such as electronics and automation—for requirement analysis, interface definition, system budgets, and performance assessment. * Technical launch and follow-up of procurements. * Definition of the design validation campaign; prototype assembly and testing. * Direct client communication. * Participation in proposals for new projects. **What We Expect From You:** * Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. * Minimum 10 years’ experience performing the responsibilities described in this role. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical component design, calculation, and testing; and minimum 2 years’ experience technically leading product development teams in R\+D or Engineering departments of manufacturing companies (automotive, aerospace, rail, machine tools, robotics, etc.). * Advanced level of English. **What We Offer You:** These are some of the benefits you’ll enjoy at Sener: * Opportunity to participate in innovative, internationally recognized high-technology projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary and highly qualified team. * Improved time management through our flexible working hours and remote work policies. * Salary optimization via our flexible compensation plan (meal card, private health insurance, childcare vouchers, etc.), plus life and accident insurance. * Comprehensive physical and emotional wellbeing program, including sports activities, workshops, etc. * Professional development support, including technical training, soft skills, language courses, etc., to help you continue growing and achieving your goals. * Commitment to equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion for all individuals; certified as a Family-Responsible Entity (efr).
