For new Industrial Engineering projects across various sectors, we require a **MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER in Zarautz**, Guipúzcoa. **Responsibilities** * Design, size and develop mechanical components and equipment for bulk solids handling installations, ensuring safe, efficient and manufacturable solutions that meet customer specifications, current regulations and company quality standards. * Design and calculate pneumatic and mechanical systems and equipment (conveyors, silos, hoppers, valves, etc.) based on project requirements. * Select suitable materials, standardized parts and commercial components according to service conditions. * Prepare, with support from the Drafting Department, assembly and manufacturing drawings, material lists (BOM), and technical specifications. * Collaborate with procurement and suppliers in component selection and resolution of construction details. * Coordinate with other departments (process, electrical, civil) to ensure design integration. * Review and validate designs, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal standards. * Provide technical support during fabrication, installation and commissioning, resolving design issues. * Supervise and validate workshop acceptance of mechanical equipment and components, verifying compliance with design and quality specifications. * Participate in final validation of mechanical installations at plant sites, verifying correct installation and operation of equipment. * Maintain up-to-date technical documentation in the company's document management system. * Mainly office-based work with visits to workshops, suppliers or client sites for equipment acceptance and installation validation. **Requirements** * Higher Technical Engineering degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Advanced Vocational Training in Mechanical Design with solid experience in machinery calculation and design will be valued. * Minimum 3 years of experience in machinery design, sheet metal fabrication or industrial installations. * Proficiency in CAD/3D software (Inventor, SolidWorks or similar) for machinery and sheet metal design. * Calculation of mechanical components: strength of materials, welds, bolted joints, power transmission. * Knowledge of bulk solids transport systems, electropneumatics, process equipment and metallic structures. * Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and manufacturing standards. * Experience in bulk solids handling projects, process plants or related industries will be highly valued. * Flexibility to handle workload peaks during critical design phases. * Knowledge of: + Mechanical design standards (ISO, UNE, DIN, ASME). + Machinery safety regulations (Machinery Directive, CE marking). **Competencies** * Analytical ability and mechanical calculation skills. * Technical creativity and problem-solving orientation. * Rigor and attention to detail. * Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers. * Planning and organizational skills to meet project deadlines. * Teamwork and proactivity when facing design changes. **Languages** * English level B1-B2, with sufficient competence for reading manuals, drawings and specifications. **Workplace** * Zarautz, Gipuzkoa * Availability for occasional travel (project meetings, supplier workshops, installation supervision, commissioning). **We offer** * Permanent position. * Joining a leading engineering company. * Salary commensurate with responsibility and experience. * Excellent working team.
