Job Summary:
Electrical Product Development Engineer responsible for the design, development, integration, and validation of HVAC systems for railway vehicles.

Through our P\&PD Engineering team (ATS Global group), we are managing the recruitment process for an Electrical Product Development Engineer for a leading company in the transportation climate control sector, based in Seville.
The engineer will be responsible for designing and developing HVAC systems for railway vehicles according to internal specifications or customer requirements; will participate in the integration and commissioning of the new product on railway vehicles; and will actively contribute to the validation and testing process of these systems.
Main Responsibilities:
* Interpretation of project-related specifications and regulations; preparation of internal project documentation based on them.
* Design of new products according to regulations, specifications, and internal project documentation.
* Use of CAD tools for product development and integration of various subsystems.
* Component selection and joint definition and development work with strategic suppliers.
* Creation of documentation and bill of materials enabling component procurement from suppliers and subsequent product manufacturing.
* Support during assembly of the developed product, verifying compliance with specifications.
* Creation of functional, maintenance, and assembly manuals.
* Preparation of standard and series test protocols.
* Execution of functional and climate control tests in the field on the product already integrated into the vehicle.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Development of interface schematics and internal wiring diagrams for HVAC systems using Solidworks Electrical / Eplan.
* Development of construction documentation for electrical installations of HVAC systems using Solidworks Electrical / Eplan.
* Integration of automatic control equipment and electrical installations into the HVAC system cabinet and frame using Solidworks Enterprise.
* Functional definition based on regulations and customer specifications.
* Preparation of functional reports and coordination of software development to ensure operation in accordance with regulations and customer specifications.
* Integration of the HVAC unit into existing communication systems onboard railway vehicles.

* Onboarding plan and initial training.
* Work modality: On-site work, although a remote work initiative is underway (1 day per week, either Monday or Friday, depending on team organization, plus 1 additional day per month between Tuesday and Thursday). Remote work will commence once initial position training is completed and the candidate achieves full autonomy in the role.
* Working hours: Split shift from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, employees may choose either a split shift or a compressed workday. These compressed workday terms also apply from June 15 to August 31; employees may decide whether to work a split shift or a compressed workday.
* Academic qualification: Industrial Technical, Superior, or Bachelor’s Degree specializing in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Industrial Electronics; Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Automatic Control and Electronics.
* Minimum professional experience of 6 months or internship experience. Prior experience in electrical product design, development, and validation is highly valued.
* Software: Solidworks and/or Eplan.
* Languages: English at least at B2 level. If currently at B1, commitment to obtain B2 certification within one year.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
* Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
