All projects—from concept and design to product certification—are carried out in Barcelona. As a result of our disruptive approach, in 2022 we launched a new product line to provide DC fast-charging stations for electric vehicles, distributed under our newly created brand: Floox. Will you join our challenge? **MISSION:** * Coordinate and execute designs aligned with manufacturers’ capabilities, ensure the quality and feasibility of proposed solutions, and guarantee their optimal integration with electronics, thermal behavior, and industrialization teams. * Design enclosures and other primarily metallic components of Premium’s power equipment using 3D design software. * Create all documentation—including specifications, bill-of-materials (BOM), procurement orders, and drawings—in compliance with current legislation and customer requirements, while adhering to Premium’s R&D department design rules and those of customers. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Perform mechanical designs—primarily in metal—for enclosures, heat-dissipating elements (e.g., heat sinks), and all fastening hardware. * Draft, render, and edit engineering drawings. * Create and manage design libraries for components that constitute or will constitute Premium PSU’s standard product components. * Generate and maintain all R&D technical documentation—including assembly drawings, technical dossiers, mechanical structure data in the corporate ERP system, component registration, etc. * Request prototypes from suppliers. * Conduct fluid-thermal simulations for projects. * Support the Hardware team in producing 2D (inductive) drawings. * Actively collaborate on the mechanical design of power electronic products (e.g., housings, heat sinks, structures, mounting solutions), ensuring proper mechanical and thermal performance. * Produce project technical documentation following established formats and propose documentation improvements to enhance efficiency. * Collaborate with the Operations department to provide required documentation to suppliers for mechanical part delivery during prototyping. * Work closely with Electronics, Thermal, Layout, Industrialization, and Procurement teams. * Support physical adaptation of prototypes to designs together with Product Leaders. * Define and ensure compliance with mechanical specifications, regulatory standards, and quality requirements. * Manage the prototyping process, mechanical validation, and support for ramp-up to production. * Promote continuous improvement in design processes and standardization of solutions. * **Requirements:** --------------- **REQUIREMENTS:** * Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; specialization in electronics is preferred. * Experience using Solid Edge (preferred), SolidWorks, CATIA (or similar). * Experience in 3D design. * Experience with tolerances, torque specifications, stamping processes, laser cutting, and deep-drawing processes. * Knowledge of design using various materials. * Experience in simulations, specifically with Ansys. * Proficiency in English at conversational and written levels. * Flexibility and adaptability to project timelines. * Advanced level of English (spoken and written). **VALUABLE KNOWLEDGE:** * Knowledge of electrical cabinets and/or electronic products. * Experience in CFD, particularly thermal analysis. **PREMIUM BENEFITS:** * Join a sector-leading company offering real opportunities for professional growth. * Flexible vacation policy exceeding market standards. * Access to flexible compensation plans. * Flexible working hours and work-life balance support. * Excellent working environment—close-knit, collaborative, and talent-oriented. * Free coffee and tea. * Discounts on healthy meals/homemade food. * Competitive salary aligned with experience and value delivered. * Take it Easy Room: We offer a dedicated space to break routine and relieve stress.
