The Geriatric Care Assistant position involves providing comprehensive care to residents, focusing on their physical and emotional well-being. Responsibilities range from assisting with daily activities to monitoring their health status. It is essential to maintain a safe and comfortable environment, promoting resident autonomy within their capabilities. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and clear communication with the healthcare team and families. Tasks include direct support with personal hygiene, mobilization to prevent pressure ulcers, and assistance with feeding. Accurate documentation of incidents is also required, and prescribed medications are administered following established protocols. Work is carried out in a collaborative environment where continuous observation and reporting are essential to adapt care to each individual's changing needs. Empathy and respect are intrinsic qualities for this position. The primary objective is to contribute to residents' quality of life, ensuring they receive dignified and professional treatment. The salary is set according to the applicable collective agreement, with a base of one thousand five hundred and fifty euros per month, plus an additional gross supplement of two hundred euros. Working hours are rotating, covering morning shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and evening shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The workplace is located at Santa Cruz Errepidea Street, number fifty-seven. Conditions include adherence to sector-specific occupational health and safety protocols. A vocational training qualification (Medium-Level Vocational Training in Health) is required, an equivalent professional certification, or current enrollment in a related training program. At least one year of practical experience in caring for older adults or in a geriatric setting is necessary. Candidates must have their own vehicle to reliably commute to the workplace. Specific knowledge in geriatric care and the ability to follow established procedures are valued.
