Knowledge of sound propagation theory and ray-tracing calculation methods (primarily CNOSSOS), and acoustic simulation tools: ray tracing for environmental acoustics, acoustic calculation models using numerical simulation, finite elements, and boundary elements. Knowledge of railway infrastructure vibration generation: sources of railway vibration (switches, curves, roughness, etc.), available market solutions for mitigation.
