**Location**: Bilbao **City**: Zierbena, Basque Country, Spain **Province**: Vizcaya / Bizkaia (ES\-BI) **Country**: Spain (ES) **Requisition Number**: 42514 **Job Description:** The worker in this position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the proper functioning of the manufacturing process area corresponding to the refinery plant, performing the following duties: * Carry out operational tasks related to the operation and control of devices, equipment, and installations for various processes and production stages, following instructions from the plant technician. * Handle, load, and unload hazardous materials according to safety data sheets and product risk sheets. * Conduct necessary tests and sampling for process control. * Take responsibility for the equipment, tools, and facilities they operate, ensuring their proper condition. * Promote and seek the best overall conditions (safety, environment, production, and quality) in their work area and role, and make improvement proposals within their scope. * Report any accidents or incidents detected to the department supervisor and cooperate as a witness in accident/incident reporting and investigation if required. * Comply with the company's general safety rules and act according to safe work practices, carrying out tasks under safe conditions as defined by established procedures and instructions, or at minimum according to standards of good professional practice. * Properly use personal protective equipment required for safely performing tasks, ensuring that such equipment is in good working condition and maintaining its proper state. * Immediately notify their direct supervisors of any situation they detect that could pose risks to people or property. * Cooperate in responding to any emergency as outlined in the emergency plan and participate in emergency drills. * Collaborate with management to ensure safe working conditions that do not pose risks to personnel safety and health. * Perform any other tasks assigned by the plant technician necessary to maintain production, safety, hygiene, and environmental conditions that ensure the smooth operation of the company. * Understand their responsibilities regarding critical process stages and parameters to ensure the production of safe products. * Know and ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and environmental regulations for which they have been trained. **Main Responsibilities:** Process operations, monitoring, supervision, and parameter control, along with appropriate actions derived therefrom, to achieve consistent KPIs and ensure safety, environmental, and quality conditions under the supervision of the shift supervisor: responsible for maintaining the proper functioning of the manufacturing process in their work area, monitoring it using the appropriate computer tool (Scada), and being present on site. Performing, as needed, the following activities: * Basic physicochemical controls on products undergoing manufacturing (intermediates), as established by instructions, standards, procedures, and process specifications. * Inspection and cleaning interventions on equipment and machinery when process conditions require it, under the supervision of the shift supervisor — CIP of centrifuges. * Collect data from counters measuring consumption of auxiliary materials, water, gas, and other resources related to the production process. * Regarding occupational safety, adhere to the provisions stated in the document "Functions and Responsibilities in Occupational Risk Prevention." **Education / Experience:** * Qualification or experience: FP2 or FP1 in electricity/electronics/mechanics/electromechanics, higher technician in chemical plant operations, or equivalent qualifications. Formal qualification is not required for candidates with more than five years of experience in the same role; in such cases, sufficient relevant experience (minimum 5 years) is required. * Computer skills at user level. * Knowledge of measuring instruments (counters, converters, etc.). * Familiarity with the company's quality, environmental, and safety policies. * Medical fitness certificate. * Additional desirable training: basic courses in quality, environment, and occupational risk prevention; good manufacturing practices; any other training related to the position or profession; forklift operator license; ATEX certification; working at heights; confined space entry. * Desirable experience: shift work; experience in a similar role (verifiable).
