




Job Summary: Ingeteam is seeking a Thermal Engineer to analyze, model, and simulate power converters and components, participating in R&D and supporting business units. Key Highlights: 1. Integration into a young, dynamic, and technologically advanced team Ingeteam, a leading company specializing in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is looking to hire a Thermal Engineer for its Converters & Controls Technology Area in Zamudio. Your mission will be to perform thermal analysis, modeling, and simulation of power converters and their components, as well as participate in research and development projects in this field. **Your main responsibilities will include:** * Performing calculations and/or simulations (fluid dynamics, thermal, electromagnetic, etc.) using finite element method (FEM/CFD) software to support the design of power converter systems. * Participating in R&D projects on thermal topics. * Developing simulation/calculation tools for power converter components or subsystems. * Supporting business units on thermal matters (design, testing, and/or incident investigation). * Contributing to the development of a thermal roadmap. Generating new ideas and proposals for technology and/or product improvement. * Keeping up-to-date with cutting-edge technologies and market trends affecting the company’s products and services. * Collaborating with suppliers to integrate disruptive technologies and techniques. * Sharing your knowledge across all levels of the company. * Producing documentation for internal use or customer delivery. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent * Knowledge of: Heat transfer Fluid mechanics Energy engineering Hydraulics CFD * Minimum English level: B2 **Preferred qualifications:** * Postgraduate studies or specializations in Energy Engineering, Hydraulics, or related fields * Finite element simulations: Thermoelectric Electromagnetic ANSYS environment FloEFD environment * Knowledge of electricity and/or power electronics * Knowledge of mechanical design (Solid Edge or similar) * Advanced Excel expertise (macros, tools) * Minimum English level: C1 * Teamwork, initiative, communication and organizational skills, innovation, creativity, and problem-solving ability We offer: * Joining a leading innovative organization in Power Electronics, contributing to the energy model transition and impacting triple sustainability (social, environmental, and economic) * Flexible working hours and other work-life balance benefits * Compensation commensurate with the candidate’s experience * Permanent employment contract * Integration into a young, dynamic, and technologically advanced team At Ingeteam, we value diversity and facilitate the inclusion of people with disabilities.
