Industrial Instrumentation Technician Job Description **Gases Oxinorte**, part of the Nippon Gases Group, is a company dedicated to the production and storage of oxygen, nitrogen, and argon from air. We are currently seeking an **Industrial Instrumentation Technician** who will be responsible for the installation, calibration, and repair of control and measurement equipment at the plant. We are looking for professionals with experience in instrumentation systems, the ability to work in industrial environments, and a commitment to safety. **What will your responsibilities be?** * Program control logic in the DCS (Schneider Foxboro). * Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on IC systems: verify, calibrate, and adjust measurement and control instruments such as transmitters, control valves, positioners, sensors, among others. * Diagnose and resolve failures in instrumentation equipment, control systems, and electrical systems. * Organize and supervise IC tasks and contractors during projects and/or maintenance shutdowns. * Prepare technical maintenance reports, calibrations, and tests, including records and traceability in accordance with quality standards. * Perform rotating 24-hour shifts to respond to potential incidents at the factory or customer facilities. * If necessary, work occasional shifts. * Identify process improvements and collaborate on productivity projects. * Collaborate in the documentation management of the facility. * Apply and monitor compliance with corporate safety regulations in all processes. * Issue work permits for subcontracted companies according to company standards. In continuous improvement and IC optimization projects, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Development of basic and detailed engineering for Instrumentation and Control systems. * Preparation of data sheets, technical specifications, and purchase requisitions for field instruments, DCS systems, PLCs, SCADA, ESD, F\&G, etc. * Technical coordination with other disciplines (processes, electrical, mechanical, etc.). * Conduct functional tests and commissioning of equipment after maintenance or modifications. * Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, ISA, API, etc.). * MOCs **What we offer** * Indefinite contract. * Job stability. * Competitive salary. * Specific initial training period. * Supportive team to carry out the described tasks. * Social benefits. Job Requirements **Requirements:** * Technical Engineering degree in Automation and Control, Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or similar. * At least 5 years of experience in maintenance and Instrumentation and Control (IC) projects: transmitters, sensors, analyzers, control valves, …. * Experience with DCS (hardware \& software) and PLCs. * Knowledge of industrial communications (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP). * Knowledge of industrial electricity (electric machines, switches, disconnectors, relays, ….). * Ability to interpret drawings, P\&ID’s, functional diagrams, and electrical schematics. * Work following quality, safety, and environmental standards and regulations. * Valid driver's license and personal vehicle (for on-call duties). * Residence in Bizkaia. * Desirable: Basic Occupational Risk Prevention Course. * Desirable: Safety training (Working at Heights, Electrical Risk, and First Aid). \- Intermediate to advanced level of English. **Competencies and skills:** * Commitment to safety. * Teamwork. * Analytical and problem-solving skills.
