We are currently seeking a candidate to join our team as an **ERTMS Safety Engineer.** **Job Description** **What Will Your Responsibilities Be?** **1. Functional Safety Analysis (ERTMS)** * Risk analysis for **ERTMS** (Hazard Identification, Hazard Log, FTA) in compliance with EN 50129. * Evaluation of critical scenarios (train-to-ground communication, train detection, control logic). * Definition and traceability of safety requirements according to EN 50128 and EN 50129. **2. Safety Cases** * Development of **ERTMS** Safety Cases in accordance with EN 50129 and SIL levels. * Management, recording, and tracking of the project’s Hazard Log. * Updating and reviewing safety documentation in response to technical or regulatory changes. **3. Regulatory Compliance and Certification** * Ensuring compliance with EN 50128 and EN 50129. * Supporting audits and certification processes. * Monitoring developments in **ERTMS** regulatory standards. **4. Technical Coordination** * Collaborating with systems, signaling, RAMS, and quality teams to integrate safety requirements into the design and validation of **ERTMS**. * Supporting resolution of safety non-conformities by proposing technical solutions. * Participating in meetings with customers and operators to present safety analyses and align requirements. **5. Tools and Methodologies** * Requirements management using DOORS. * Document management using Windchill. * Use of tools for safety analysis and reporting. **Requirements** **What Are We Looking For?** **Education and Experience:** * **Mandatory qualification**: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent. * **Master’s degree in Railway Engineering or Functional Safety** (desirable). * **Experience**: Minimum **3–5 years** in **functional safety for railway signaling systems (CBTC, ERTMS, or similar)**, with experience in: + Application of EN 50129 and EN 50128 + Authoring Safety Cases and managing Hazard Logs. + Use of DOORS, Windchill, FTA. **Languages:** * **Spanish**: Native. * **English**: **C1 level** (mandatory). **Specific Technical Competencies:** * Proficiency in **safety analysis methodologies**: FTA, Hazard Log, HAZOP. * Advanced knowledge of: + **ERTMS standards**: EN 50129, EN 50128 + **Tools**: DOORS, Windchill, risk analysis software. + Ability to interpret safety diagrams and technical documentation for **ERTMS** systems. **Certifications (desirable):** * Training courses on **EN 50129/EN 50128** **Additional Information** **What Do We Offer?** International work environment and professional growth Private health insurance 22 annual vacation days + “recharge” days Flexible intensive working hours: 7:00–15:00 At ATEXIS, we value every individual within our organization.
