Description

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the upkeep and repair of a center's facilities, ensuring their proper functioning and safety conditions. Main duties include performing basic repairs in areas such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting, thereby maintaining optimal conditions in the spaces. In addition, the professional carries out locksmithing tasks, such as replacing cylinder locks and adjusting doors, contributing to the premises' security. Basic electrical maintenance also forms part of their responsibilities, including replacing light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, and downlights to ensure adequate lighting. In plumbing, they repair cisterns, faucets, and other sanitary fixtures to prevent leaks and maintain hygiene. Other occasional activities may include masonry work, such as installing or repairing damaged tiles on walls and floors. Proper use and care of basic hand and power tools are essential for daily performance, ensuring repairs are carried out efficiently and safely. This position is key to keeping infrastructure in good condition, positively impacting the work environment and the center's functionality. The assistant must adapt to the site's needs, prioritize tasks, and work autonomously under supervision, always paying attention to detail and complying with regulations. The role contributes to the building's sustainability and users' comfort, serving as a cornerstone in preventive and corrective maintenance management. The offered salary is €720.62 gross per month, paid in 12 installments according to the applicable collective agreement. The working schedule is part-time, totaling 20 hours per week from Monday to Friday. The established shift is an afternoon shift from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The contract is temporary, covering an interim vacancy, with possible continuity; the anticipated start date is September 1. The facilities are adapted and well-connected in Fuenlabrada, ensuring accessibility for the employee. A valid disability certificate issued by the competent authority, indicating a disability level of at least 33%, is required. A minimum of one year of prior experience in general maintenance and minor repairs is necessary; experience in schools, offices, or residential communities is considered advantageous. The required educational qualification is Compulsory Secondary Education or Basic Vocational Training in maintenance, electricity, or plumbing. Candidates must possess knowledge of and be proficient in using basic tools such as drills, screwdrivers, Allen keys, adjustable wrenches, pliers, trowels, and spatulas. The ideal candidate should demonstrate responsibility, proactivity, problem-solving ability, and capacity for autonomous work.
