The forklift operator position focuses on logistics and warehousing activities within the food sector. Key responsibilities include the efficient handling and organization of goods, ensuring products are stored safely and accessibly. The worker will be responsible for order picking, selecting items according to received orders for preparation and shipment. Additionally, they will manage warehouse space, maintaining optimal organization to facilitate workflow and enable rapid product location. Operating the forklift is essential for transporting pallets and boxes between different warehouse zones, requiring precision and strict adherence to safety protocols. The work environment is dynamic, forming part of a team dedicated to operational efficiency across all material handling tasks. Order organization is an ongoing activity requiring coordination with other departments to meet established delivery deadlines. The role demands commitment to food hygiene and safety standards, given the nature of the sector. Proper execution of these functions directly supports the supply chain, ensuring products reach the next link in optimal condition. The operator will work under supervision, though autonomy and initiative in resolving daily warehouse incidents are valued. The offered salary is determined according to the company’s own collective agreement, aligned with terms stipulated therein. Working hours are organized into three rotating shifts: the morning shift from 06:00 to 14:00, the afternoon shift from 14:00 to 22:00, and the night shift from 22:00 to 06:00. These shifts run Monday through Sunday, respecting legally mandated rest periods as stipulated by current labor legislation. Specific shift assignments follow the company’s scheduling plan. Immediate availability to start the position is required, along with availability to work individual days — the latter being mandatory. Demonstrable forklift operation experience must be verified through prior work history. A medium or higher vocational qualification is required, specifically Medium-Level Vocational Training (FP de Grado Medio) or Higher-Level Vocational Training (FP de Grado Superior) in a related field. Candidates must possess at least one year of broad, verifiable professional experience working as a forklift operator.
