Whether you celebrate Christmas or not this is just a little bit of fun. All participants must arrive with a wrapped present up to the value of €5-10. Presents are left at the start / finish line and runners are set off in handicapped format, slowest first, fastest last, on a 5K route. First back is our champion and gets 1st pick of the presents yet there will still be a present for everyone. If you can not run for any reason then we will need some volunteers. Volunteers can also bring a pressie, and that way they get one back! **Where is it?** We meet at the Espigo past the W Hotel where previous wacky races have been held **When is it?** The 2025 Pressie Dash takes place on Thursday 11th December at 19:30. **Who runs it?** This event is organised by Alan of PB:Running. PB:Running will also provide the volunteers. **How much is it?** This race is free. The cost is the present you bring which should be of the value of €5-€10 but then you get a present back! **How do I register?** Registrations are open via the link at the top of the page. Your RSVP to this meetup event doesn't count as your entry. You need to provide your best xipgroc or strava 10K time otherwise you start with the last group to leave! **Very important: this is not an official event!** There will be no insurance, medical and / or ambulance services, each runner is responsible for himself. You should only register if you are physically fit and capable to run 5K. The road is not cut off to traffic: you have to respect the traffic laws, your own safety and that of third parties. This run takes place on a Saturday where the beach front is used by many many users. You must be over 18 to participate. **What is the course?** The route is about 5K (not official) The start and finish point are the espigo of the W Hotel in Barceloneta. The route is quite straightforward: 2.5K along the beach of Barceloneta and then back. The turning point is just after hospital del mar, before the nightclubs where volunteers will photograph you so we know everyone turned round at the correct point and so that you get a nice photo of you during the race, don't forget to smile! **What should I bring?** It would be advised to bring along a water bottle which can be left at the start. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear however in our Wacky series we do encourage fancy dress. It can be a little chilly by the sea and it is December. Clothing layers can be left at the start finish line at your own risk however volunteers will be in the area and its not a renowned area for thefts.
