Ensure data governance, security, and GDPR compliance Senior Data Architect (Azure \+ Databricks) We are looking for a Senior Data Architect with strong experience in Azure data platforms and Databricks to support strategic data and analytics initiatives in an enterprise environment based in Barcelona (hybrid model). The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable data architectures, defining data modelling standards, and ensuring governance, security, and compliance across the data platform. **Required qualifications:** Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline. **Professional experience:** Minimum 6 years of experience in data architecture or data engineering roles working with Azure cloud environments and Databricks platforms. **Main responsibilities:** Design and implement scalable enterprise data architecture using Azure and Databricks. Define and maintain data modelling standards and medallion architecture frameworks. Ensure data governance, networking security best practices, and GDPR compliance across the data platform. Optimize Apache Spark jobs and clusters in Databricks environments. Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to support enterprise data solutions. Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance. **Required technologies:** Azure Storage, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Apache Spark, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Power BI, Data modelling, Change Data Capture (CDC). **Nice\-to\-have technologies:** Python, PySpark, Scala, SQL, AWS, GCP, Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or ARM templates), Microsoft Azure Fabric. **Languages:** English Expert level required. **Candidate skills:** Strong ownership mindset, attention to data quality, proactive attitude, ability to work autonomously, strong problem\-solving skills, teamwork and leadership capability, ability to write clean and well\-documented technical solutions.
