Key challenges include: * Developing tools and applications for processing geographic information. * Automating spatial data capture, transformation, and exploitation processes using Python. * Designing and maintaining ETL workflows oriented toward integrating multiple sources of geographic information. * Participating in projects related to Smart Cities, mobility, infrastructure, environment, and Earth observation. * Integrating GIS services, spatial databases, and corporate platforms. * Developing scripts and processes to improve the quality, efficiency, and scalability of geographic information systems. * Collaborating with engineering, data analytics, software development, and GIS specialist teams. * Contributing to the technological evolution of geospatial platforms and data-driven architectures. **REQUIREMENTS TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE** **Education** We especially value degrees in: * Geomatics and Topography Engineering. * Computer Engineering. * Telecommunications Engineering. * Geography. * Environmental Sciences. * Mathematics, Physics, or related technical disciplines. The most important factor will be your ability to thrive in technology-driven, data- and development-oriented environments. **Experience** Prior experience of at least two years working in the following areas will be highly valued: * GIS solution development. * Process automation using Python. * ETL processes and data management. * Integration and processing of geospatial information. This experience will enable you to quickly integrate into projects where efficiency, data quality, and automation are critical. **Technical Knowledge** We particularly value experience with: * Python for automation, data processing, and tool development. * Geospatial libraries such as GeoPandas, Shapely, Rasterio, GDAL, or similar. * Designing and maintaining ETL processes. * Relational and spatial databases, especially PostgreSQL/PostGIS. * Consuming and integrating geospatial APIs and services. * GIS systems such as ArcGIS or QGIS. * Version control using Git. **Do you have something extra? We’d love to hear about it!** * Experience developing web-based GIS applications. * Knowledge of Docker and cloud environments. * Experience with ArcGIS APIs, OpenLayers, Leaflet, or similar technologies. * Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Analytical capability will be especially important, as you will work with large volumes of geospatial information where identifying patterns and resolving issues is fundamental.
