At the center, the nurse is the highest responsible for healthcare and support functions when the hygiene-health supervisor or the director are not present. In these situations, the nurse relies on the service supervisor to manage general services. Her main task is to ensure that residents receive the healthcare and support they need. Together with the service supervisor, she ensures compliance with internal rules, protocols, and any instructions from the center's management regarding healthcare and support matters. To achieve this, the nurse will make decisions she considers most appropriate, always following the center's general guidelines. If an exceptional measure must be taken, she must inform management as soon as possible, taking into account the severity of the situation. Among her responsibilities are verifying, together with the service supervisor, that staff maintain a proper appearance, cleanliness, and hygiene. She must also report to management any issues related to staff punctuality or absences, as well as any abuse of break times.
