Process Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking Process Engineers to optimize and continuously improve steelmaking processes, ensuring quality, efficiency, safety, and environmental standards. Key Highlights: 1. Optimization and continuous improvement of steelmaking processes 2. Technical analysis and operational parameter control 3. Collaboration in production planning and incident resolution We seek Process Engineers for the Hot Strip Mill, the Plate Mill, and the Sinter Plant with analytical capability and a focus on optimizing and continuously improving steelmaking processes through technical analysis, operational parameter control, and implementation of improvements that ensure product quality, productive efficiency, safety, and compliance with environmental standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Analyze and control process parameters across various production stages. * Propose and implement technological and operational improvements aimed at: + Increasing productivity and yield. + Reducing energy consumption, costs, and losses. + Improving final product quality. * Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) and prepare technical reports. * Collaborate in defining production plans, grade/quality changes, and start-ups/shutdowns. * Participate in resolving technical incidents and root cause analysis. * Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Environment departments. * Provide technical support for the implementation of new equipment, technologies, or products. * Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations. * Participate in internal audits, industrial trials, and process validations. Contribute to the standardization of procedures and best operational practices. * MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Engineering degree (Industrial, Metallurgical, Materials, Chemical, or related field). * Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a steelmaking or industrial environment. * Postgraduate education in steelmaking, materials, or industrial processes is desirable. * Occupational Health and Safety training is desirable. * Analytical ability. * Ability to work in a team. * Ability to work in an industrial environment. * Perseverance in carrying out actions and tasks. * Ability to communicate fluently in English.
