Dynamic, collaborative, and innovative environment We are looking for an IoT Engineer – León Location: León, Spain Salary: €28,000 gross/year Employment Type: On-site Contract Type: Permanent Minimum Education: University Degree Minimum Required Experience: 5 years A leading technology company specializing in applied innovation for efficient resource management is seeking to hire an IoT Engineer to participate in the design, development, and maintenance of advanced IoT sensorization systems. The selected candidate will collaborate with various departments, contributing solid technical, analytical expertise and a continuous improvement orientation. Key Responsibilities: Sensors and IoT Sensorization* Design, development, and maintenance of IoT sensorization systems for optical and physicochemical data collection * Integration, development, and calibration of optical sensors for industrial or field environments Electronic Hardware* Design and implementation of electronic hardware, remote sensorization boards, and communication modules * Design and programming of hardware/software validation systems * Interaction with suppliers, assemblers, and certification laboratories * Diagnosis of incidents and improvement of embedded systems Firmware and Cybersecurity* Development and maintenance of robust, scalable firmware * Implementation of cybersecurity measures in embedded systems * Fault diagnosis and application of corrective actions Documentation and Quality* Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation * Participation in certification and quality control processes Cross-functional Collaboration* Joint work with different departments to ensure proper system integration ️ Required Technical Knowledge:* Embedded systems and firmware programming in C/C\+\+ * Microcontrollers and microprocessors * GSM and IoT communications * Yocto SDK * Cross\-compiling * Linux Kernel * SBOM * PCB design and schematics using Altium, Eagle, KiCad, or similar tools * UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Modbus, and other protocols * Optical sensors and remote monitoring * Cybersecurity applied to embedded systems * Image sensors (SLVS, MIPI CSI\-2\) * Wireless communications: WiFi, GSM, LoRa, etc. ✅ Requirements:* Minimum 5 years of experience in IoT engineering, embedded electronics, or hardware/firmware * Experience in PCB design and prototyping * Programming and commissioning of prototypes * SMD soldering, electronic debugging, and diagnostics * Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams * Proactivity, analytical thinking, and continuous improvement orientation * Preferred qualifications: * Experience with manufacturers and assemblers * Knowledge of optical sensors * Experience in IoT cybersecurity * Knowledge of EMI, EMC, and CE certifications * English proficiency at B2 level or higher We Offer:* Joining an innovative and expanding project * High potential for professional growth * Private health insurance * Work-life balance plan * Intensive working hours during summer (July and August) * Dynamic, collaborative, and innovative environment Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00–19:00 Friday: 8:00–15:00 Location
