Lentiviruses produced by VIVEbiotech are used to treat various diseases, including hematological and solid cancers, as well as rare diseases. **We are looking for you to join our Team!** ### **Your Role** We are seeking a **USP Development Laboratory Technician**, reporting directly to the Head of USP Development. **Your mission will be to organize operations and execute required USP development studies and experiments to fulfill the company’s development plan and sales plan.** Additionally, you will collaborate with your supervisor and section scientist to achieve the company’s and our clients’ strategic objectives. Likewise, you will collaborate with various departments across the company to provide technical support regarding USP methods and processes. ### **Your Responsibilities** * Implement new ideas in collaboration with scientists and the Head of USP Development, proposing improvements and reporting incidents to continuously optimize the production process. * Manufacture assigned phases of customer and internal development batches according to established requirements. * Commission newly acquired equipment for developing new processes or scaling up production, ensuring proper documentation and transferability to operational departments. * Actively collaborate to ensure optimal use of resources and materials (continuous improvement of cost/efficiency) to deliver technological solutions addressing challenges defined in the development plan, sales plan, and VIVEbiotech’s financial objectives. * Work collaboratively to execute necessary tasks correctly and within required timelines for project delivery. * Maintain thorough documentation of results to ensure traceability and proper transfer and implementation of developed solutions. * Proactively propose continuous cost/efficiency improvement ideas based on your knowledge, experience, and performance of your role, contributing to achieving the goals of your entire team or section. * Report all significant incidents affecting the smooth execution of your activities or those of your team or section to your direct supervisor. ### **What We Value in You** * You have at least 2 years of prior experience in this role and performing the described responsibilities. * You hold a university degree in Virology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biological Engineering, or Chemistry. * You possess knowledge of bioprocess techniques and upstream processing (USP) systems. * Master’s degrees in related fields are valued. * You have a high level of English proficiency (at least B2\). * You demonstrate the ability to propose potential process improvements. * You exhibit strong teamwork skills and a results-oriented mindset. * You are an organized individual focused on planning and objective-driven management. * Residency in Gipuzkoa (or intention to relocate to the area) will be viewed favorably. ### **What We Offer You** * You will benefit from continuous career development supporting your professional growth throughout your career. * You will participate in innovative projects featuring ongoing technological updates. * You will receive a competitive salary commensurate with your profile for this position. * You will join an expert, young, dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic team united by a shared purpose: supporting our clients in advancing cures for diseases. * We will support your personal relocation process if you come from another region and wish to live in Donostia\-San Sebastián (housing, employment integration for family members, school enrollment, etc.). * You will enjoy a professional working environment distinguished by our humanity and closeness, where we genuinely value diversity and inclusion.
