Description

Summary: Stark Future seeks a Race Engineer – Vehicle Dynamics to lead motorcycle performance development through advanced analysis and engineering solutions within its Racing program. Highlights: 1. Lead analysis and development of motorcycle performance 2. Define technical direction and improve handling, traction, efficiency 3. Translate rider feedback and telemetry into engineering objectives #### **About Stark** Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road\-legal VARG EX \& SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine. We’re based in Sant Boi, Barcelona, growing fast (77% year\-on\-year), and building a team that will take us even further. If you want to work on a product that people are genuinely obsessed with, this is it. Stark will become the global market leader in premium motorcycles. Building premium motorcycles requires innovation and we need your help to make us succeed in building the backend for our AI systems. Our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry, by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution. This will be achieved by building sustainable products that are superior to traditional technology in terms of Performance, Emotion and Design. #### **The Role** The Race Engineer – Vehicle Dynamics is responsible for the understanding, development, and continuous improvement of motorcycle performance within Stark Future’s Racing program. This role focuses on maximizing on\-track performance through advanced vehicle dynamics analysis while driving structured development projects across chassis behavior, electric powertrain interaction, and overall motorcycle performance. The engineer will act as a central link between mechanical and electronic engineering departments, translating performance needs into practical engineering solutions. Working alongside the existing mechanical and electronic engineers, this position plays a key role in defining technical direction and initiating projects that improve handling, traction, efficiency, durability, and rider confidence in racing conditions. #### **What You’ll Do** * Lead analysis and understanding of motorcycle vehicle dynamics including chassis behavior, suspension interaction, mass distribution, traction characteristics, and overall ride performance. * Analyze and optimize the interaction between electric powertrain behavior and vehicle dynamics, including torque delivery, throttle response, regenerative braking effects, and traction generation. * Translate rider feedback and telemetry data into clear engineering objectives and measurable development actions. * Define and propose development projects aimed at improving lap time, rideability, energy efficiency, and race performance. * Support optimization of torque maps, regenerative braking strategies, and control parameters from a vehicle dynamics perspective. * Design and develop performance\-related components and concepts using CAD tools (PTC Creo), supporting rapid prototyping and validation. * Support setup definition and optimization including geometry, suspension settings, balance, and dynamic behavior. * Develop testing methodologies and validation procedures for performance upgrades. * Drive correlation between simulation, data acquisition, and real track behavior. * Participate actively in testing and race events to evaluate performance changes and guide technical direction trackside. * Identify performance limitations related to chassis behavior, power delivery characteristics, thermal constraints, and energy usage. #### **What you will bring to Stark** **Engineering Qualification \-** Certified Engineer with a Master’s degree specializing in Vehicle Dynamics, Motorsport Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field. **Vehicle Dynamics Expertise** **Strong theoretical and practical understanding of:** * Motorcycle chassis dynamics * Suspension kinematics and tuning * Tire behavior and load transfer * Stability, traction, and handling optimization * Performance development methodologies **Strong understanding of electric motorcycle vehicle dynamics, including:** * Influence of power delivery on traction and chassis balance * Regenerative braking effects on vehicle stability and rider control * Energy consumption versus performance optimization in racing conditions. * Thermal limitations influencing performance consistency **CAD \& Engineering Design.** * Proficiency in PTC Creo (or equivalent professional CAD software). * Ability to independently design, modify, and develop performance related components. * Understanding of manufacturing processes, structural design, and rapid prototype development. **Data \& Performance Analysis \-** Experience interpreting telemetry and test data to support performance decisions. Ability to correlate rider feedback with measurable engineering parameters. **Systems Integration Mindset \-** Capability to work across mechanical and electronic domains to improve overall vehicle performance. Understanding of interaction between chassis behavior, electronic control systems, and electric powertrain performance. **Project Development Ability \-** Proven capacity to define, prioritize, and lead technical development projects from concept through track validation. **Trackside Experience \-** Comfortable operating in high\-performance racing environments. Ability to make structured performance decisions under time pressure. **Communication \& Collaboration \-** Strong communication skills with riders, mechanics, and engineers. Ability to align multidisciplinary teams toward common performance goals. **Hands\-On Approach \-** Willingness to combine analytical engineering work with workshop and track involvement. **Motorsport Mindset \-** Strong motivation for innovation, competition, and continuous performance improvemen**t.** #### **Why work with us?** * The chance to work on a product people are genuinely passionate about * A fast\-growing company with real momentum * A creative, international team based in Barcelona * Competitive salary and benefits package * Direct access to riders, race teams, and the product — this is not a remote\-from\-the\-product role * Subsidized lunch in our in house restaurant * Free access to our in\-house gym (including weekends!) * 30 days of paid vacation **At Stark, we don’t just accept difference—we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our community.** We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, age, neurodiversity, or disability, feels a true sense of belonging. We believe that diverse teams make better decisions and that a culture of equity is a prerequisite for innovation. **Accessibility:** If you require any reasonable adjustments during the application or interview process (such as assistive technology, extra time, or a specific format), please let us know at HR@starkfuture.com. We are here to support you. We encourage applications from underrepresented groups and are excited to see how your unique perspective can help us grow
