At Ormazabal, you will find a space to design your future and that of the rest of the world. **JOB DESCRIPTION** At Ormazabal, we are seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineer with experience in design for our manufacturing facility located in Igorre, Bizkaia. **Responsibilities:** Your main responsibility is to analyze, design, develop, and/or document special orders from a mechanical standpoint. * **Order analysis** * Review orders received from the market area to verify their correctness, completeness, consistency, and feasibility. * Identify potential incompatibilities or errors, correct them if necessary, and avoid duplication by comparing with existing documentation. * **Mechanical design** * Perform mechanical design of orders using 3D and 2D drawings (CAD), as well as create material lists (BAAN). * When required by the market area, develop mechanical layouts of switchgear cells, interlocks, single-line diagrams, dimensions, and anchoring details, and submit them for approval in 2D format. * **Material specification** * Determine the necessary mechanical materials (cable bridges, self-valves, etc.) required for order execution. * Coordinate and agree on material selection with the corresponding offer manager. * **Technical support** * Provide technical assistance by resolving internal queries and participating in inspections within the ODS environment, particularly in collaboration with Technical Management and the special projects team. * **Application development** * Design and develop applications requested by different ODS areas, ensuring functionality and compliance with requirements. * **Testing and certification** * Conduct tests on prototypes to validate the proper operation of developed applications and obtain the corresponding certification. * **Continuous improvement** * Propose and document justified modifications that contribute to improving product quality and optimizing costs. * Request standardization of consolidated and recurring applications, justifying their implementation to enhance efficiency. **REQUIREMENTS** * Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering * Experience: 2 years in similar roles * Required skills: Office software, 2D and 3D CAD, mechanical design tool Creo Elements/SHEETMETAL, and basic knowledge of electricity * Languages: English B2 * Required competencies: We offer stable employment within a leading company in its sector.
