**Summary** ----------- **Position Title: Application Engineering Manager (f/m/d)** **Requisition: 1987** **Location: Vitoria\-Gasteiz or Barcelona (hybrid – 60% travel)** Join Hexagon MI's dynamic Solution Hub team as an Application Engineering Manager (f/m/d) and lead a team of 8 key professionals advancing metrology and automation solutions. You will be the link between the team and management, combining hands-on technical responsibilities with strategic leadership. You will support the implementation of cutting-edge technologies through technical demonstrations, custom application development, and customer training in global markets. You will work closely with all divisions of the Solution Hub — from product development and testing to commissioning and after-sales support — providing technical expertise and leadership across Hexagon's portfolio.**Key Responsibilities** -------------------------------- * Lead and coordinate the Application Engineering team, ensuring alignment with objectives and fostering professional development. * Manage planning and resources to ensure optimal delivery to internal and external customers. * Act as a liaison between the technical team and management, facilitating communication and strategy execution. * Conduct hardware and software product demonstrations, including complex custom configurations for prospective and existing customers. * Effectively communicate product benefits to help customers make informed decisions. * Support the sales team by recommending solutions tailored to specific customer needs. * Prepare comprehensive user documentation and conduct training sessions to ensure effective product usage. * Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive and responsive support. * Develop customized applications and programs that meet customer requirements. * Prepare detailed technical specifications for proposals. * Continuously improve existing applications and stay updated on new technologies in application engineering. * Collaborate with internal teams within the Automation Solution Hub on product development and contribute to innovation initiatives. **Requirements** -------------- **Required*** Previous experience in a similar role, or at least 3 years as an Application Engineer. * Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Automation Engineering or related field. * Proficiency in CAD/CAM, drawing interpretation, and dimensioning according to GD\&T. * Advanced level of English (written and spoken). * Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on service excellence. * Availability to travel up to 60% (national and international). * Valid driver's license (Class B). **Desired*** Project management experience. * Experience with PC\-DMIS or other dimensional metrology software. * Knowledge of robotics and automation systems. * Programming skills in C\# or PLC (preferably Siemens PLC). * Experience with Visual Basic. * Spanish language proficiency **What We Offer** ----------------- * Lead a growing team within the Automation Hub in Spain, with new opportunities and room for professional development. * Global exposure: work with international clients and travel to Asia and America, expanding your network and gaining practical experience in a global context. * Cultural exchange and collaboration: be part of a diverse, international team where your unique perspective is valued.
