**Published:****Deadline:** 15/11/2025**Envisaged Job Starting Date:**January 2026 A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Dr. Jordi Llop, at the Radiochemistry and Nuclear Imaging Laboratory (CIC biomaGUNE, San Sebastián, Spain), to work within the framework of the RADIOBOTS project — a public–private collaboration focused on the preclinical development of radiolabelled nanomotors for bladder cancer therapy. The successful candidate will participate in the RADIOBOTS consortium, which includes Nanobots Therapeutics S.L., the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), and CIC biomaGUNE. The project aims to develop and validate radiolabelled nanomotors for the treatment of non\-muscle\-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). Within this context, the postdoctoral researcher will lead the radiolabelling strategy for the incorporation of radionuclides (e.g. 68Ga, 177Lu, 225Ac) into nanomotors, and will design and conduct in vivo experiments to evaluate their biodistribution, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic efficacy in preclinical models. The work will include: * Developing and optimizing radiochemical labelling protocols for nanomotor formulations. * Performing quality control, stability, and dosimetry studies of radiolabelled nanomotors. * Conducting in vivo PET/SPECT/CT studies in small\-animal models to assess tumor accumulation and treatment response. * Analyzing imaging and ex vivo data (quantification, autoradiography, immunohistochemistry). * Collaborating closely with chemists and biologists from consortium partners to ensure translational impact. The selected candidate will work in a highly interdisciplinary environment, with access to CIC biomaGUNE’s state\-of\-the\-art radiochemistry and imaging facilities (cyclotron, radiochemistry laboratories, preclinical PET/SPECT/CT, and high\-field MRI systems). **Required Education Level:*** PhD in Chemistry, Radiochemistry or related disciplines. * Proven experience in conjugation and/or inorganic chemistry, as well as nanotechnology. * Strong analytical skills for image quantification and data interpretation. * Excellent communication skills in English, teamwork ability, and motivation to work in a translational research setting. **Required Skills/Qualifications:**The following skills will be valued: * Experience in nanoparticle synthesis and/or functionalization * Experience in radiotracer development. * Previous involvement in multidisciplinary or collaborative projects. * Interest in contributing to supervision of students and dissemination of project results. **Duration:*** **Type of contract:** **Full\-time, temporary, associated with the RADIOBOTS project (total project duration: 36 months).** **Contract duration will be aligned with project requirements** **Project Funding:**Bladdebots II \- CPP2024\-011448 \- (Spanish Research Agency \- AEI) **Equal opportunities Policy:**CIC biomaGUNE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to: age, disability, gender, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other classification protected by European, national, or local law. **Open Transparent and Merit Based Recruitment Policy:**You can check here CIC biomaGUNE OTM\-R Policy. **How To Apply:**Submit your application with a motivation letter stating why you are interested in this position, your CV, the contact details of two academics who can provide a reference ***About CIC biomaGUNE:*** *CIC biomaGUNE, located in the Science and Technology Park of Gipuzkoa (Donostia\-San Sebastián), is a leading research center in the area of* ***bionanomaterials, synthetic bioengineering*** *and* ***molecular imaging*** *and counts with more than 180 people from 33 countries.
