**Salary:** £51,356 to £54,495 **Working Arrangements:** Full Time **Hours of Work:** 37 hours per week **Status of Employment:** Permanent. This post closes at 11\.59 pm on the date specified. If so, we have an exciting secondment opportunity for a Repairs and Maintenance Manager to join our Property Services department! In this role, you’ll lead repairs and maintenance operations with a right\-first\-time approach, develop maintenance programmes, oversee projects, and drive performance within the team and contractors. You’ll also contribute to the Property Services review by identifying development areas, meaningfully challenging processes, and driving business improvements with your ability to persuade key stakeholders through evidence\-based advice. **Key duties and responsibilities of our Repairs and Maintenance Manager:** * Responsible in ensuring that Berneslai Homes and BMBC are being kept in a good state of repair and meet the decency standard and the statutory obligations of Regulatory Compliance in all areas of service * Providing ongoing contract management for PRIP contract partners, including monitoring performance by measuring against contractual Key Performance Indicators, and will involve making both Operational \& Financial decisions. * Maintaining and be responsible for ensuring computerised records of the Housing Stock and other premises managed by Berneslai Homes are maintained, to ensure that the data we hold is kept fully up to date, reviewed, and utilised in decision making processes. * To be data lead for Repairs and Maintenance, ensuring the accuracy of the performance data is available to meet required KPI targets, Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSM) and deadlines that feed into Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council contractual reporting. * Responsible for the day\-to\-day management, performance and supervision of the Repairs and Maintenance team providing expertise, coaching and other developmental support as required, to ensure the performance targets are met in line with business objectives. * Reviewing and monitoring existing documentation including Specifications, Policies \& Procedures, Risk Assessments and working arrangements to ensure that they remain relevant and up to date. *Please refer to the full Job Description and Employee Specification upon completing your application.* **What we’re looking for in our Repairs and Maintenance Manager:** * Relevant Professional qualification equivalent to Degree level or proven extensive experience. * Relevant Management qualification or proven experience of Management \& Supervision of a Team. * Membership of a Construction Industry related Professional Body (CIOB / RICS as examples) * To be an innovative, enthusiastic \& Curious leader who has a Can\-Do/Lets Do approach and puts the Customer First. * Excellent understanding of the RSH Homes Standard, HHSRS, Awaab’s Law, Building Safety Compliance and HSE requirements and its application within Sector to ensure compliance. **What you might be asking is, why work for us?** We are proud to put our people first!
