We’re looking for a proactive and customer\-focused Community Buildings Officer to join our team. You’ll be responsible for the day\-to\-day management of community buildings and laundries, ensuring they are clean, safe, and well\-maintained. You’ll also play a key role in promoting the use of communal spaces and supporting social activities that enhance tenant health and wellbeing. *We’re also recruiting for a part\-time Independent Living Officer. If you’re enthusiastic about making a difference and your skills align with both roles, we encourage you to apply for both vacancies.* **Key duties and responsibilities of our Community Buildings Officer:** * Conducting regular inspections and fire safety checks across community buildings and laundries. * Coordinating and delivering social activities and events in consultation with residents. * Strengthening links with external agencies to maximise community engagement and room hire income. * Ensuring communal areas are clean, safe, and used appropriately. * Supporting residents with information, referrals, and safeguarding concerns. * Providing cover across schemes to ensure smooth operations. *Please refer to the full Job Description and Employee Specification upon completing your application.* **What we’re looking for in our Community Buildings Officer:** * 4 GCSEs (A–C) or equivalent experience. * Experience working with customers in the community. * A flexible, positive attitude and the ability to work independently. * Strong communication and organisational skills. * Willingness to work flexible hours and travel between schemes. * A commitment to equality, diversity, and excellent customer service. **What you might be asking is, why work for us?** We are proud to put our people first!
